What are the future prospects for urban life in the face of climate change?

The project Urban Future Scenarios under Climate Change is bringing together people from different backgrounds with the objective of dealing with this pressing question. This is done by building possible futures scenarios for some cities around the world. Such scenarios offer a speculative panorama of possible consequences of climate change in urban life. Three cities with very distinct political and economic situations were selected as key points for the elaboration of these scenarios: Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Hargeisa (Somaliland). Materializing imagined futures, the scenarios offer inputs for potentially innovative design projects that seek to deal with the effects of climate change on urban life.
